Self Care Cruise and Travel was created with a simple idea in mind: vacations should help you recharge, not create more stress. Whether you’re planning a cruise, an all-inclusive resort stay, or a family vacation, the goal is to make the process easy so you can focus on enjoying the experience.
My name is Jamie McAdams, and I’m the travel advisor behind Self Care Cruise and Travel. When I’m not planning trips, I work as a police sergeant in Kansas City. After years of helping people through stressful situations, I understand how important it is to step away, relax, and reconnect with family and friends.
I help travelers plan cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and memorable vacations by handling the research, comparing options, and helping you choose the trip that fits your style and budget. Whether it’s your first cruise or your tenth, my goal is to make planning simple and enjoyable.
Explore a few of the trips I can help you plan.
Explore the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, and beyond while unpacking just once. Cruises make it easy to experience multiple destinations in one relaxing trip.
Relax at beautiful resorts where meals, drinks, and activities are included. Perfect for couples, friends, and stress-free beach vacations.
From theme parks to beach destinations, I help families plan vacations that create lasting memories without the stress of coordinating all the details.
Real trips we've taken that might inspire your next adventure.
In October 2024, Abby and I took a repositioning cruise from Tokyo to Singapore aboard Celebrity Millennium. Before sailing, we explored Tokyo, visited DisneySea, and rode the bullet train to Kyoto.
The cruise included stops in Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam before ending in Singapore, where we spent a few extra days exploring the city.
Abby and I sailed from Fort Lauderdale on Celebrity Silhouette to the beautiful ABC Islands — Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. We explored Willemstad, visited Aruba’s famous beaches and flamingos, and toured Bonaire’s salt flats.
When our flight home was canceled, the trip ended with an unexpected road trip to Key West chasing the sunset.
Abby and I sailed the Western Caribbean on Celebrity’s newest ship, Celebrity Xcel. Our first stop was Bimini in the Bahamas, one of our favorite simple beach ports.
In Cozumel we took the “Tacos, Taquitos and Luchadors” excursion — Abby’s favorite part of the trip — before visiting Grand Cayman and spending the day relaxing at Kaibo Beach.
We wrapped up the trip with an airboat ride through the Everglades searching for alligators before flying home.
